Aloha Lions Ohana,
As the end of the quarter swiftly approaches I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support for a very successful first quarter. We have already seen huge gains in our student's academic growth and social behavior. Covid had taken a toll on both of those and we are making good headway in bringing our Keiki back to where they were before Covid. I also have a number of announcements and reminders for you today.
- Tomorrow after school is our Regal Bakery Fundraiser pickup. Please remind everyone who purchased a food item that they can pick it up in our cafeteria between 1:30 and 5:00. All food MUST be picked up tomorrow.
- Friday is the last day of quarter 1. There is no school the following week.
- We have an optional COVID vaccination clinic after the break. Forms were sent home already and are due Friday. All students, family members, and siblings 6 months or older are welcome. Anyone other than students please come to the office to fill out the form.
- This Saturday there is a drive-by diaper event at the KPT PACT office. If you or someone you know needs help with getting diapers for young children, or other general supplies for young children please swing by from 10:00- 12:00.
- We are still having some issues in the parking lots. We understand it is more convenient for people to try to come into the office parking lot for pickup and dropoff, however, it really is not safe. Last week we had at least 3 close calls where students almost got hit by that gate when it had been inadvertently been left open and a parent/relative had come in too fast and nearly hit a small child coming out from a corner that they couldn't be seen behind. In addition, the cafeteria lot stalls are for staff parking. We are aware that there may be an empty stall or two towards the end of school, but, we still have staff coming in for after-school programs and they need to park there. Parents, please either wait for your student in your car or park in the grass area by the containers or against the fence by the H1.
Mahalo nui for all the continued support you have shown us over the year and continue to do. We greatly appreciate you, and as always, remember, We are the Lions. We are the Future!
Aloha,
Mr. Larkin
