Aloha Lions Ohana, I hope this message finds you well and dry. I come to you today with an apology and a congratulation. First the apology. I am sincerely sorry for the results of today's live broadcast. When we tested the system yesterday everything went well with 0 issues. Today, nothing but problems, and I wasn't made aware of them until after the event. We don't know exactly what went wrong but we apologize nonetheless. We did have other cameras filming and are beginning work on splicing together a video of much higher quality (as far as lag goes) than the live version. I'm not sure when it will be done as we will have to do some major editing to put it together, but as soon as it is done we will post it on our YouTube channel which can be found at bit.ly/KWETube anytime. The live video is currently available and will remain up, despite how chunky it may be. With that being said, I wanted to extend a HUGE congratulations to our students and staff for putting on such an amazing event. We had to change suddenly to an indoor setting with only a few hours of warning for our preparations and only one practice indoors. Although being indoors was the right call, it did make things much more complicated and we were unable to have parents and family join us, which hurt us deeply as we were highly anticipating a chance to show everyone everything we have been doing. With this challenge, everyone banded together to make this Hoike one to remember. The student performances were phenomenal, the staff support was amazing, and the community volunteers who helped with sound, video, and dressing up as characters was unbelievable. As I have said all year, together we can do this because, We are the Lions. We are the Future. Mahalo nui for all of your love and support and we hope that future events broadcast issues are solved so everyone can see just how amazing Kalihi Waena is. Aloha, Mr. Larkin V/R
