Kalihi Waena SY 2020 Q2 Kindergarten Opening Information

Aloha Lions Kindergarten Ohana,

We are looking forward to seeing many of you back on campus very soon.  We sent out today a letter in the mail to you with many details, including your child grouping for your information and you should receive it soon.  There was a delay sending it so I wanted to let you know a couple of key details.

  1. This Sunday at 12:00 noon and this upcoming Monday at 5:00 PM I will be holding a virtual parent meeting for kindergarten parents who would like to ask any question of me about the return of students.  Please join me on either of those days at meet.google.com/tcc-eojd-npq
  2. We will be starting on Monday, November 30th with students in group A, and Tuesday, December 1st with students in group B.  Students will rotate every other school day from that point on, until we return to normal operations.
  3. ALL student drop-offs will be at the cafeteria. NOT at the classrooms.  Teachers will come down to the cafeteria at 7:45 to pick up students.  Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 7:15-7:50, however, we recommend that everyone who wants their child to eat breakfast come at 7:30.  PLEASE NOTE: NO PARENTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CAFETERIA. We will take your child from the cafeteria to the teachers at 7:50.  If students eat home breakfast it must be consumed prior to coming to school.
  4. The first two weeks are 1/2 days with students returning home after picking up lunch at 10:50 AM.  Please be prompt in picking up your children.  This time is to ensure our safety processes are in place and adequate to ensure your child is limited to chances of exposure to COVID-19.  All students will be picked up by the cafeteria.

I highly recommend you join me at the meeting either Sunday or Monday if you have any questions.  I look forward to seeing you there and seeing your keiki here on campus soon.  Stay strong Lions.  Remember, We are the Lions.  We are the Future!

Aloha,

Mr. Larkin
